Hi, can anyone explain to me why I can get all the digital tv and radio channels on saorview but can get Aertel. I have a Walker box connected to one tv, and an integrated tv, but no Aertel on either of them. Any suggestions please. I e-mailed Saorview but didn't even get an automated reply.

Do you mean can't get Aertel?

If both products are on the approved list and you're receiving the digital channels via an aerial connected to both receivers you should be able to display Digital Aertel unless the receivers are faulty. Also I've noticed Walker TVs are very slow to load Digital Aertel, are you waiting long enough for it to load?

Thanks for that, I have a Walker box, but the intergrated tv is Hannspree. I think it could be a reception problem. I bought both items in Electro-city, so I'll talk to them before shelling out any money for someone to check it out for me. Both tv's are working off "rabbits ears", perhaps I need an aerial upgrade.

Non Saorview approved Hannspree's can have problems with Digital Aertel, it has been discussed here before.

Regarding the Walker box if it's a Saorview approved receiver and receives the Saorview channels OK it should also display Digital Aertel, they are all carried in the same frequency/multiplex. Can you test it out on someone else's aerial? How old is the Walker receiver, still within guarantee?

Yep ..... although they have MHEG5 they do not display the Digital Aertel.
I wonder if this will change when/if the standard Aertel ceases, as that is what displays here on a Hannspree.
(not that I ever use the Aertel service .... )
