    Hello,

Myself and the gf went to Sitges, Spain last year. It was:
    • A beautiful old town next to the beach
    • Not too resorty
    • Absolutely no loutish p!ssiheads
    • Just a really relaxed atmosphere
    • Reasonably priced

We would like to repeat this type of experience, but somewhere different this time.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Nerja in southern Spain might fit the bill. We've been a couple of times, its very much 'old' Spain, but with plenty of nice restaurants, little shops (not a chain store or restaurant in sight), good few tourusts but no louts. It's right on the coast so beach is only meters from the town centre.

It's about 45 minutes from Malaga airport. There's a lovely small hotel there called Puerta del Mar if you do look into it. Right in centre of town but not noisy and a nice pool area on roof.

Sorrento in Italy could work. Grand Hotel President is a splendid place with swimming pool, garden etc and some amazing views. The town is cute and there is plenty to do or just relax in the hotel.
