Hi, I have been given the task of creating a 3 page magazine article spread and my topic is shoes. The title I have chosen is Soul Mate and my Caption is what your shoes say about you...
The problem is I need a Wow picture for the front page of the article as the photos I have taken already of a basic shoe is not cutting it..
Any creative ideas would be greatly appreciated :D

Kind of struggling with something similar at the moment myself. A fashion magazine is interviewing me after seeing some recent shots they liked but I have to answer so many questions, these things always sound easier than they actually are. I sent a first draft along with some images to the magazine but writing has never been my strong point so I'm nervous I'll mess it up. If its only images getting published I don't worry but I was being interviewed for something similar a while back and really messed up the article. You are lucky in that you don't have to answer questions or write an article about the images, either way I feel you're pain and good luck with the ideas. :)

I can understand your anxiety at the prospect of this as mine is just for educational purposes and I still find myself struggling. I have a sketchbook where I have to explain all my ideas but it doesn't really compare! Your shots are obviously impressive as they stood out to this magazine so be proud of that and the rest should hopefully fall into place!!:)

How about getting an old married couple (Soulmates) and just photographing their shoes (with them in the shoes obviously :)). You'll need to experiment with the pose so it looks like the couple are embracing or hugging or whatever...
Their shoes will need to be old fashioned too to show they are elderly.

This may or may not be what you're after but good luck :)
