My dad sent me this photo yesterday morning. He had it sitting in a tool box for the last 20-odd years: It's the wall-mounted cable point for RTÉ Relays, a predecessor of Cablelink.

We had one of them in an old house. The one we have now at our main point still reads "Cablelink", with the original 1986 CABLELINK logo rather than the mixed case version used in the 1990s. It otherwise looks very similar to this one.

RTÉ Reiays (along with a number of companies it had acquired over the years) was renamed Cablelnk in 1986, which became NTL Ireland in July 2000 and is now part of UPC.
