Temporary lay off

Looking for advice on the following: My OH was put on temporary redundancy 10 weeks ago.Initially it was supposed to be for six weeks, however business has not improved and his manager has rang a couple of times to give him his options. i.e. keep waiting for business to improve or take redundancy.Up til now he opted to wait and see, but tomorrow he is going for a second interview for a job he would like and we are wondering will he lose his redundancy if he takes the job. We would be so happy if he got the job but to still get redundancy from his previous job would be such a bonus as things have been so tight since he was laid off. IF he is offered the job should he ring his previous employer and say he wishes to take redundancy or would that be off the table since he would have another job. Thanks.

If he takes this job now he will lose redundancy. Ring asap and take redundancy.
