Confused... Hard Drive Issue

My Pc started freezing and generally being a bold boy the last while. Did all the usual stuff to try work out what was wrong, but think it may be the mother board. Anyway I took the system drive out of it and hooked it up to another PC internal and then external. I had all my music on this drive in My documents/My Music. But now when I look at the drive, the music is nowhere to be found. The space is stilled used up on the drive, but when I search it for .mp3 files, it finds nothing.

The documents and settings folder has nothing in it really, so now I am very very confused?

    Any help?

Did you search the right documents and folders folder? If you tick to unhide hidden files and folders and search the entire drive (not just the profile).

You need to take ownership of the documents folder on the other machine

Check this kb article. The process is very similar in Vista/7
