Sorry if this is a n00bish question -
We have bought 3 return tickets to the canaries for 2 weeks in summer with ryanair.. However two of the 3 people cannot go until a week later, so I was wondering if it would be okay to buy a one-way ticket for those 2 people, and let them use the returns on the original flights? It works out so expensive to book the new flights for a return journey so i'm hoping its okay!

    thanks!

Best to ring and ask. Afaik I think if you miss the outbound part of s return ticket the inbound part will be cancelled.

May be cheaper to just book s new ticket.

You didn't buy return tickets, because Ryanair don't sell return tickets. The tickets to get people home again are valid even if you travel out by other means (it doesn't even have to be a Ryanair flight).

Oh okay, well I ordered them all together (sorry I'm a bit clueless about this sort of thing) are you 100% sure the tickets to return home will be valid if the original tickets to get out there aren't used?

To book new tickets there and back costs over €600, but to book one leg (return) its less than €250

I once had bought an outbound and return ticket, from England to Ireland. Couldn't go on the outbound date, got a new ticket but used the original return when flying back.

Call em, just to double check but you should be sorted.

They have an option of changing date of outbound and inbound ( which ever u want to change) you will be charged for changing flight fee and difference of price.

all this is on their website, get time sit down and check out all options when you login with you details of booking.

    Or call.

I dont think I can change the dates because I booked all 3 together, and one of the people (me) is still travelling on the original date. I need to change two out of three. Ill call them tuesday and see what they say anyways, thanks!

I'm sure they will allow you to split the booking, so you can change the other two if you needed.

Just thought I would update incase anyone has the same question and is searching for the answer -

Phoned them up and he split the booking for me which allowed me to check the price online for the new flights for two of the people. Also said its no problem to just use one leg of the flight.

Works out about €50 cheaper to just change the dates for those two people rather than book new flights (they have gone up in cost now too) so will be doing that tonight! cheers :)
