In advance, I'm quite a novice..

I installed this wireless card in my machine about a year ago and within a short space of time I noticed that when my computer goes to stanby and is started up again, there is a very significant lag even just opening and closing windows etc.

I thought it's about time I resolved this so I thought to look for new drivers. So I went to my Device Manager, but under Network Adapters I have only two options:

    Atheros AR922X Wireless Network Adapter
    NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet

Now, I'm pretty sure I didn't have wireless before I installed the TP-Link card.

Can anyone explain what is going on or what I'm probably misunderstanding?

    Thanks in advance..
