I have a HTC Sensation, last night it told me that there was an update so I went ahead and accepted it.

Just looking at the phone now and all my photos and videos are gone, the gallery is empty!!

Is there anything I can do

Plug your phone into the computer and browse through it till you find them, it's highly unlikely they're gone, I'd imagine just missing.

I had a look at the sd card and found them on that.Just can't access them through the gallery on the phone. Can't find somewhere to select the sd to view through the gallery

Exact same thing happened mine after ics update, just turn off your phone for a half hour, take out battery, put it back in and start up phone again, no idea why this works but it did:D Its taken about three days for my phone to return to normal after update, very laggy for first few days but all good now! you might have to turn it off a few times before your pictures will reload,

Once you get your photos back install Dropbox or Ubuntu One and get it to synchronise your photos with the internet. If you lose your phone that way at least you have a chance of them being backed up.

I turned off the phone and left it for half an hour then took out the battery, on starting it up again photos were back on the phone.

    Thanks for that.

I'm currently pregnant and had a scan at the docs last week and had recorded a few min of the scan on my phone so that was my biggest fear that it was gone.

I have installed dropbox on the phone now and everything is backed up on that, I have dropbox on the laptop but hadn't thought of adding it to the phone.

So I am all happy now again, thanks for the help guys/gals :p

Same kind of thing happened to me. I took some screenshot grabs on saturday but they would not show up on the gallery but they were there on the sd card.

ICS is still laggy for me, especially when you go to settings. I had to take out the battery a few times to try and fix it.
