So you're looking for something for a 1 year old, that isn't a toy? and that you can buy on easter sunday morning, one of the big days where shops won't be open.

They would deny it, but deep down inside if you were to give anyone (and I mean ANYONE) bubblewrap as a present they would love it.

You can get hours of fun from that ****

I once got car mats as a present. Bubble wrap would have been much more appreciated

Scratch card, make sure to write their name on it.

The bonus is that if it's a winner they can't touch the money till their 18, so every birthday there'll be an interest payment. No presents required till their 19.

Marmite. And spoon feed it to him as a special treat while you eat his Easter eggs in front of him.

I don't think he'll care what you get him, he's one year old.
If you want to impress the parents, give them a voucher that entitles them to one night's babysitting, by you, to be used when it suits them.

Take him out for the day, give the parents some time together, best present for everyone. Go to the park, bring him swimming.

Clothes. My niece is a year old and I buy her €35 of clothes per birthday until she can tell me what she wants. €35 buys a crapload of clothes from Penneys.

Throw in a bottle of wine though. ;) People who have one year olds need alcohol too.

I do the exact same for my little nephew, but usally get them in a bigger size. Hes big for his age and will grow into them, and his parents appreciate it. Although I usally go to Next instead.

    Many good suggestions there OP.
Maybe a cardboard box? Or a brightly coloured napkin? Or a bucket, you can never go wrong with a bucket.
