    hello,

friend of mine asked me to look at his laptop cause wifi had stop working. so i ran malwarebytes and found over 296 objects infected. did the scan again and no objects were found. so wifi still not working. so did a little googling and i have noticed i am missing some dll files from my list of services

    the googled post is here:

    http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-support/77844-problem-preventing-troubleshooter-starting-error-code-0x80070426-2.html

From the list of services i seem to be missing Cryptographic Services and i think i need this to get my problem sorted.

my question is will a clean install of windows fix my problem or is there an easier fix if anyone knows it.

    please see pics in attachment.

    i have also tried:

    1.SFC /scannow.

    2. Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt (Right-Click and Run as Administrator)

At the command Prompt type : netsh winsock reset
