    Hi Unregistered,

What kind of budget do you have to work with? I'm selling a campagnolo equipped aluminium frame with carbon fork and stays and a good set of fulcrum wheels for €500 (though open to offers within reason!) here:

    http://www.adverts.ie/bikes/road-bike-56-cm-aluminium-with-carbon-rear/1456932

It's in perfect nick, bar the odd superficial scratch, and would come fully services and cleaned.

Only selling to part fund a new bike.

Let me know what you think,
    Dave

Hi Dave, I did see that ad, I have to say it seems very expensive at 500!!!

Well, €500 doesn't seem too bad to me for a bike with carbon front and rear, racing 7's and decent campy kit throughout, but as I said, I am open to a certain amount of negotiation! If you're not interested, that's fair enough, but it's a lovely bike, and personally I think you'd be getting plenty of bike for your money with it, especially compared to the giant defy 3's and the like you often see go for around that price second hand.

I bought a 2010 Trek 1.5 (not 1.2) in perfect condition for €450 last week. The asking was €480. Think it was online about an hour..

675 is out of my budget I'm afraid! Thanks though! GLWS.

Is the Trek 1.5 worth a 100/150 euro the premium over a 1.2? The only difference I can tell is the cassette and shifters. Would there be any benefit to a newbie to road bikes like myself? Would i be able to sell it on for the same difference more than a 1.2 in about 6 months or so?

Anyone?? Would 500 be a good price for a second hand Trek 1.5? How much extra would the tiagra groupset and front derailer be worth?

Any thoughts on a 2010 Felt Z100? How does it compare to the above?

Hi Bogmanfan, yes its still available. Its a 56 or a 58 I will dig out the paperwork

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 168 ✭✭Jeffm587

Ok I checked, its actually a 2011 model that I bought in 2010. Frame size is 58 selling it with Shimano pedals, two bottle cages , saddle bag , Zefal frame pump, bontragrer 4 way comp and CRC bike cover all included. I have only room for one bike in the house and no where to store it out the back really, hence reason for sale. €450

Cheers mate. There's usually a sticker on the frame near the crank which gives the size.

Lads - I don't mean to hijack bogmanfan's efforts, but I'd be interested in Jeff's Trek as well.

Hi Jeffm587, just wondering if you still have the frame pump and if you would consider selling it separately?
