Not entirely happy with either the model 1 Saturn controller or the Neo-Geo cd one, I decided to throw an alternative together.

Aesthetically it could do with a bit of work but functionally it's great. I find it perfect for shooters. Works with NeoGeo, Saturn and should work with any other console that doesn't encode or serialise the controller signal.

You're gonna hate me, but I'll tell you right now:
    I hate the layout.

    Otherwise, grand job :)
Is the box homemade or did you buy it like that? (and if so, WHERE?)

Ya the layout probably doesn't work for everyone :) I'm a lefty so suits me. The buttons are laid out in a subtle arc (dinner plate template). Unfortunately the button spacing isn't exact because of my crappy woodworking.

Box is homemade, few bits of leftover pine strip board. Although MDF would work fine as well.
