I posted in another tread but it is likely to get lost...

It seems almost all the amsterdam recommendations on here are 10 bed hostels but im looking for a budget hotel (private single room/bathroom) in an area near clubs/RLD.

    Thanks.

Try the Eden hotel in Rembrandtslein.

Eden is not a budget hotel though.

Aside from my recommendation for the Van Onna, you could try the A-Train, which was recently recommended by the Irish Times. It's on Prins Hendrikkade (v.close to Centraal Station), good value, though will be above your budget of €50, as you stated on the other thread.

Hotel Brouwer on the Singel is also great (though booking far in advance is recommended).

The Kooyk http://www.kooykhotel.nl/, (just off Leidseplein & close to clubbing) is run by an Irish lady - you'll share a bathroom though and it's not one I'd recommend (though possibly within your price range and definitely a cut above grim spots to be found on Warmoestraat, Damrak, Oudezijds Voorburgwal or Oudezijds Achterburgwal).

OP, have a look at http://www.airbnb.com/

Thanks. Will have a look at them tomorrow. Will go to E100 for a decent place but assumed E50 would get me a clean hotel room.
