Router won't set a WEP code

Hi I have reasonable experience with computer etc but I need some help with my router. Lately it won't set a WEP security key. When I log onto the 192.168.2.1 bit and set a WEP code the whole thing happens as normal. Then the network is secured. But within 30 seconds the network become unsercured again. Any suggestions…

Full reset of the router, install latest firmware.

Also, unless you're using legacy kit that absolutely requires WEP; you really should move to WPA/WPA2.

WEP is very weak protection nowadays you would be better off considering one of the other options that your router offers

As above,also change the default password (and username,if possible) !
Don't broadcast your SSID as the maker of the router !
