    Hi,

I know I might sound vague, but if anyone had an indication of what a reasonable salary I should be earning, based on my details below, all suggestions would be appreciated.

Have been working as a Financial Analyst for a non financial company for the last 3 years, before that, I have been working in a similar role for 4 years before then but in a financial based company.

My highest qualifications to date is my Leaving Cert, although I'm starting a BComm this Sept.

    Should a reasonable salary be:
    30k
    35k
    40k
    45k
    50k
    51k+

    Basically I think i'm underpaid....

A quick google and look at job sites seems to show that a degree and 4 - 5 years experience is going for about 40 - 50k but I don't know anything about the area to say if that's true. And even then it would depend on experience.

Not having a qualification will make it harder to push for a better salary.

    [sarcasm]
Surely as a Financial Analyst you should be able to work this out for yourself
    [/sarcasm](Sorry couldn't resist)

I'm sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea why you replied to this thread.

Mr Bleech, you've 7 years of experience in your role. AIB just hired graduates into extremely entry level positions starting on 23k+bonus and 27k+bonus respectively. You're almost certainly underpaid at 32k.

Best of luck getting your qualification but regardless, with such experience, I would be pushing for more money or a new company.

I gained my education through work, without going into too much details...most people my age don't have any 3rd level education...believe it or not !

    Hi Op

I think in the current economic climate you are on a relatively fair wage as wages have come down dramatically but I think you should seek a raise as you have worked for the company for seven years, otherwise get your degree and seek a company that will pay you more.

Handbags posts removed. Apologies if there was halfway useful info buried in there, but it's too much of a mess to not remove the lot of them.

leonidas83, you're not contributing anything to this thread, please don't post in it again.

Edit: leonidas83, thanks for the charming PM - permabanned.
