Where do you live? Anywhere in the republic, you'll only get the UK channels with either a rooftop or attic aerial (only some areas), a satellite dish (practically everywhere) or a cable tv feed (UPC etc.).

Thanks I live in Cork so I have to get a dish and box I thought i could just get a TV and not get box. I could be wrong but a buddy in Birmingham bought a tv and no box I thought he just plugged it in and sat down and watched it. But I must be wrong.

In Birmingham, you'd have no trouble receiving Freeview (UK terrestrial).

Practically all tvs sold in the UK & here too have Freeview tuners.

I dont think soooooooooo.:D:D The Mods here will let you know that. But there was not much point in starting 2 threads on the same subject within less than 2hours of each other. Some Posters here might not want to answer your question if the same question is been answered on a different post.
