Even the cheapest most basic tablet would do for this. Just note that none of them are very good for use in sunlight.

Hey Ghost, I'm looking for the exact same. I want a 10" tablet for reading my .cbr files. Did you find one yet? I'm not interested in web browsing or other apps or features, just want to read comics so the prices of some of them are way too high for what I want. The Kindle Fire is too small, would need to be 10".

Let me know if you find any.

well sheehy after doing a bit of research apparently a 10 inch screen is a bit
heavy for reading comics from what i can gather,so im looking at a 7inch capacative screen, they work out at about 120 euros after customs.

The Asus Transformer is good for comics I find. Read loads on it at this stage.

Never had a problem reading outdoors and read in direct sunlight on a bus once.
I think a review mentioned that it has a decent IPS screen and among the best in its class for display performance in daylight.

Haven't used any other tablets really though, very happy overall with the transformer.
