Nope afraid not, even though they will be open in the UK, as there is plenty of football on, and the masters golf etc.

This country wants to snap out of its old ways and stop doing things like this to please the catholic church for f*cks sake.

While there at it why dont they ban the sale of meat today in all supermarkets aswell.

This is one of the silliest rules of all time.

I know you might say ''it's only one day'', but it's pointless. Fair enough Christmas, but we aren't in 1960's Ireland anymore.

I think I make this post every year today :pac:

You should be aware that even though there is horseracing in Ireland on Sunday the betting shops are closed

There'll be a rush of people tomorrow lodging money in their accounts.

What time do the shops close tomorrow?

Usual time of 6 I'd imagine

Whatever about Good Friday, being closed on Sunday is totally stupid. I remember one of our independents defied the law a good few years ago and got a big fine.

The shops in England were open till ten last night even though SIS finished at 6. Everyone must just have been sitting watching the golf or playing the machines.

Is there one other Sunday as well? Or is it just Easter Sunday?
