To Fill Void or Not?

I am doing a project at the moment where a new extension is being built near, but not abutting, a neighbouring extension (due to various reasons).

As a a result, there will be a void varying from maybe 100mm up to 400mm, at its maximum, between the external walls of both extensions. This void is to be closed off at the end and on top. The space is roughly 3m long and up to 4m high.

Apart from closing it off, just wondering what to do with this void? Leave it as a void/air space and vent it, or, I was considering having the void full-filled, say with blown bead insulation?

    Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
