They are a lot of fun, but not very practical. Our climate is not great for green gas over the cool down effect, co2 mags are better but you should run a green gas mag through it every now and again just to keep things lubricated. Then you have the cost mags, there fairly pricey and they are low cap so you probably should stock up on them.

Electric blow backs are coming on a bit now, granted the kick wont be the same a gbbr but its a nice gimmick. KWA's new line of ebb's are tipped to have the best blowback on the market, have a functional bolt catch with proprietary mags like the tokyo marui sopmod, there out some time this year me thinks. Hope this helps.

Don't let that put you off though i was told nearly word for word what i told ya and i still went off and bought one, there a great laugh probably closest thing to a real steel rifle you will get.

Personally i think WA has a better system but thats when you chuck quite a large amount on upgrade parts into it. WE are cost effective with upgrades and have a way larger variety than WA. WE are coming on abit in the last few years when you look back on there gen1 gbbrs and see what they have done now with open bolt chambers and all that there defo the biggest in the gbbr world (small as it is).

Id go with WE if i was you.

i my self have had and still quiet a few gbbrs and i love them they are great for milsim gaming. i still use a we 39k for skirmishing but trigger discipline is a must to use one. so it really depends on what sort of player you are for me i both collect and skirmish so even if i dont game one i have it for show piece. i enjoy the hole easy strip down part of gbbrs which i do after ever skirmish clean, grease and oil the internals and once you do that it should go great.
I have had both WA and WE and they both work great. the Wa system from what i have read from other threads is ment to be the better one but the new WE gbbrs that are out are very good. my WE G39k RAS does about 69 bbs to one fill of gas and thats when it is cold :).
basically GBBRS are great for milsims or just for collection as for normal skirmishes that choice is down to you but if you are the type that buts a box mag on a stubby m4 i dont think they would be for you :)
    hope this helps

Yes I have a few aegs and I do use them. But from time to time I use the gbbrs as I do love using them and they do sound intemidating when in a cqb enviroment and people hearr one of them going off.
As for wa systemss I think you can get a g&p wa woc kit which is easy to assembly and is a good price. Had a agm and after a few upgrades there a good gbbr but are lacking some of the wow factor. I am lucky enough to have a db custom ra tech magpul moe m4 which cost a lot of moneyy as the parts in it are expensive so it is a question of how much you want to spend. I must say that mp9s are great fun and I use one as a back up for my g39 so theres loads of choice as yyou know with the m200

Go with WE dude, like i said WA is a better platform but they can cost a fair bit to upgrade and they do need it dont care what peeps say, the npas alone cost a fortune. WE is defo the brand to go with. I have not a bulls notion what a innokotsu is like alls i know is there expensive.

To be honest Im a aeg convert, dont get me wrong i love gbbrs but id buy an aeg to start with. Buying mags, can after can of green gas, and maintenance (which i enjoy) it gets expensive!!

GBBR's are still in their infancy - I firmly believe it will be another 5 years or so before GBBR's become reliable enough for widespread take over of AEG's. Airsoft started with Gas, and it will come back to gas, once it is proven reliable enough, and to date it hasn't.

I love GBB pistols, and am itching to get the rifles...however I just cannot justify it at present. There are only two GBBR's that have proven reliable enough out of the box, which are:
    - WE G39C (G36)
    - KJW M4

Those two have proven to work solidly, and decently in all weather conditions. If they were to continue in this fashion, then it's good news...but only time (and constant investment from peopel) will ensure this. If you're interested in them, just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into:
    - Expensive low capacity magazines (€50 per mag, approximately)
    - Higher running costs (consumables i.e. Green Gas & Co2)
    - Replacement parts (parts break down more often in GBBR's due to higher degree of wear and tear from the actioning bolt, as opposed to the more tuned gearbox system of the AEG)
    - Expensive start up cost (hop up & barrel upgrades)
    - Inexplicable fun!
