starbucks gift cards

    Hi ,
    might be the wrong forum but would appreciate any info
    Am trying to buy a gift for a friend - a starbucks giftcard
    The thing is starbucks.ie re-directs me to a UK site and wants me to put sterling £ on the giftcard - can this be right? Does anyone know a site where I can put € on a starbucks card for use in ireland?

    I tried that too. Got the same result. I ended up walking into a Starbucks and buying the gift voucher.
