ive had braces for over 9 months now. I had REALLY bad teeth, i mean, gaps everywhere- and to be honest, i still do. they're smaller, but not considerablly smaller). im just wondering, is it possible for braces not to work, or am i guaranteed to have straight teeth?

Having straight teeth and having teeth all in contact with each other(without gaps) are not the same thing. If your teeth are quite small& your jaws quite large in comparison, the teeth may need to be "built out"(with veneers/composite filling material)....Touch base with your orthodontist to clarify what the end result should be/if any other dental treatment will be required. Good luck:)

Another thing about orthodontics is in some cases it can take a very long time. Your orthodontist is best placed to discuss you specific issues and concerns.

I was the same I just got them off last Monday after having them for 5 years. It takes time especially if your teeth are as bad as mine but you will eventually get the result you want and it will be worth it in the long run. Good luck
