I was looking for an ap can convert grams to kilo, miles to km, watts to joules, etc, their's a few in there, anybody use one?

Is Navfree the best Satnav type ap?

Any other good functional aps to get? Not games or novelty farters.

Is their any security concerns with downloading at random?

    convert grams to kilo

    Really?

This is like converting apples to oranges, nonsense. Joules = watts * (the amount of time you leave whatever is producing the power running)

Anyway here you go (found via googling for "android unit convertor") https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wopnersoft.unitconverter&hl=en

There should be no problems with "downloading at random" aside from getting rubbish apps. Google are supposed to remove any malware from market and from your phone.

OK, bad examples. I was rushing and wasn't expecting them to be nitpicked, just put up so folk would have better idea what I was after. Have converter on old phone (came on it, old Nokia) used it alot suprisingly, after the same.

Will give it a go. Thanks.

    Supposed to?

Since the market is open one or two might slip through but just use your noggin it'll be VERY easy to spot anything that's not quite right.

I use HandyCalc, which as well as being a very good scientific calculator, also does comprehensive conversion.

Use Sygic Navigation too and find it very good. Not free though.

OP have you tried google navigation that comes with the phone? Or are you looking for a satnav that doesn't need internet? Copilot is another non-free one.

Tryed Google Navi yesterday evening, it's good but seems very data heavy, I am on pre-pay so preferably free.
