    Hi

I had a job interview about six weeks ago. I have no idea why I was interviewed, as I was told by the interviewer that I didn't have the precise skills she was looking for! I was tempted to terminate the interview then & there, but stayed until the end.

I assume I didn't get the role, but still haven't had the official feedback to tell me so. (Not that I'm holding my breath, mind! :D).

I'm a little surprised by this. I wouldn't necessarily expect a response when applying, but would expect that a multi-national company would have the common courtesy to let candidates know the outcome of an interview! I think they have been very unprofessional in their approach.

I'm thinking of just dropping a casual e-mail to HR to ask. But has anyone else had this happen to them?

could be they saw something on your CV relevant to another role they may have vacant or coming up.

no harm in poping an email or making a phone call asking for feedback

They may not have made a decision yet. Sometimes multinationals move slowly.

Sending a polite, positive e-mail is fine I reckon...
