Need greater range in portable phones ?

We have changed our phone package at home. We now have ripplecom broadband and phone combined. Our problem is this. The phone base must be plugged into the router which is at one end of the house ( a long bungalow ) our cordless phones have a 50 m range from the base point and this wont reach to the bedroom . I have tried a few shops for longer range cordless phones but there doesnt seem to be any available in the usual places. Any suggestions would be great.

You can get so-called DECT extenders that you place somewhere in the house within range of the base station, they retransmit the signal so that phones further away can pick it up. I think you can also daisy chain them to get even greater range.

A (cheaper) alternative might also be to run a phone extension cable from the router to a more suitable place for the phone base station if that's feasible.
