Would have any advice on choosing a 4x4 for herself?

I am looking at 2005+ 1.9-2.2lt vehicles with <100k. At the moment, I am looking at both petrol/diesel Rav4, Grand Vitra, Sportage, & CRV. Will be doing low mileage with the 4x4 & need it to tow a horse box. Budget 5k-10k.

    Any help appreciated.

Go with a diesel if she's going to towing.

I've heard good reports about the grand vitara and the sportage!

Check the max tow capacity of the vehicles you are looking at vs the gross weight of the Horsebox + Horse/s
You may find you need a full size 4x4 rather than a softroader like the CRV/RAV4
If you are only doing low milage then fuel costs won't be that much of a concern.

As CJ says, most of those you mention will only have a towing limit of 2000kg at best, may be fine for a single horse or a couple of ponies but a double box with two horses will be well over that.
