    Hi,

I wonder if anybody can help me out.

I have 2 old Kerosene heaters that I have found after much searching on the net are old rippingille fyrside windcheaters from circa 1960 (I guess from manuals and photos I've found) as well as a number of glass kerosene bottles.

I dont really want to dump these as I think they might be a nice to have if they were cleaned up a bit (paint worn on both heaters due to their age, and use I guess). Does anybody know if there is anywhere in Ireland (preferably the east) that might be interested in these items?

I have found plenty of websites in England, America, Oz & NZ dedicated to purchasing and restoring old heaters like these but have not been able to find any in Ireland. Any help you can offer is much appreciated.

    Cheers All!

they have one major drawback, they are severe on the chest, so just use them as ornaments, i have lost some very good friends because of the according to the medics.

Did you get anywhere with these?

I just found one in our shed. its does look quite good as a collectable alright. I would like to get it cleaned up and running.

if its a bad idea to burn these inside, maybe it would be good to bring out as a patio heater in the evening after a bbq?

Better off being used outdoors if at all, wouldn't trust em indoors, carbon monoxide and all that.
