I rang up yesterday looking for 2 more digi+ boxes and to upgrade to 50mb broadband - I was told it would be an extra €15 a month on top of my current bill (I have digital max, 25mb, anytime world and sky sports) if I "self installed" myself, but was also told I would have to order online. So I went online and just could'nt get the prices he quoted, the boxes were €8.81 each a month and I could'nt even find how to upgrade the broadband. So I went on "live chat" and was basically told they could'nt do anything for me and that it might be a special price from customer loyalty. I rang customer loyalty this morning and when the lady gave me a price for the 2 boxes and broadband upgrade on top of my original package my bill jumped from €101 a month to €129 a month!!! I cant figure them out at all??

15 sounds like 2*€5 for multi room + €5 to double your broad band=€15

to have a DVR its an extra 3.35 euro per box. so that becomes
    2*€8.35 + €5 =€21.70

Strange - the guy on the phone AND the customer loyalty rep said I could have these for €5 each because I have the digital max package. When the customer loyalty rep made up my package though she didn't look at what I'm paying at the moment - she totted up everything I have already and came up with a different price. Now I got the price I have at the moment from customer loyalty befor because my package was too expensive and I was going to cancel it - now I'm nervous if I continue with the upgrade I'll end up getting charged more for what I have now before I even add any extra boxes or broadband upgrades.

You could try getting back on to 1908, sales, & ask to be put through to the online sales team, or a number you can reach online sales at.

Failing that try customer loyalty again & make sure that they are including any discounts you already have plus any more they can give.

I dunno....might just leave it as it is for now - they are just too inconsistent. I cant understand if these prices are online prices you cant just log into your account and add products? I find they're website very non user-friendly.

Some of UPC's products and deals cannot be purchased online, there is no option in the system to allow you.

The sales reps can add discounts. If the option is not available online you can ask the sales person to add the equivalent discount.

You get different offers depending on how you speak to.

It's all a bit hit and miss isn't it? VERY un-professional!!!
