What's a good replacement for an eTrex Legend C?

I'm on my third eTrex, previously had the original yellow model, then the Legend and now the Legend C. Sadly I think it's beginning to show it's age as the other day on a motorway journey it started complaining every 20 minutes about not being able to get a GPS signal even though there were several black bars on the display each time.

I use it the odd time for hill walking but my primary usage is as a logger in the car, I put the eTrex up on the dash and let it log the journey which I upload to MapSource when I get home. I have an old Nuvi 255 for navigation but I rarely use it and I don't need to see the eTrex while driving so I just park it on the dash out of reach and with a good view of the sky.

Would anyone care to recommend a replacement model for my requirements? It needs to have basic maps, don't need navigation and must support Irish grid and take AA batteries.
