SWAP: Handbuilt Open Pro/ Dura Ace Wheels

Hi, have a pair of handbuilt open pro rims, 32 spokes. I think the spokes are Sapim CX on Dura Ace hubs (new old stock 7700 - better and more durable than the models that followed I reckon). Wheels are in excellent condition, built in 2010 I think and with fairly small mileage on them.

Great training wheels if you like the convenience and maintainability of handbuilt hoops.

They are on a bike I am building for someone as a present, so I'd like to swap or part exchange them for something a little more racy looking (don't ask ... it doesn't make sense to me either). I am thinking something from the Kysrium family maybe at an absolute stretch a newer model Askium - Perhaps Fulcrums, Campags, Easton's, DT Swiss, xero's something like that with a lower spoke count, or bladed spokes. I wouldn't mind only I just sold Shamals. Sigh.

    Will also sell the wheels.

Pictures to follow if there is any interest.

Will the 7700 hubs take a 10 speed 7800 cassette. Have a set of elites I might be interested in swapping. Not current model which shares sl rim but a few years older I think.

Might be interested in those elites if your selling and if the price is right..

As Robfowl says, these are clinchers.

Yep, no problem using with 10 speed. Their previous use has been with a 7800 10 speed cassette. Will get pictures up later. The elites sound good. Send me on a pic if you get a chance. Are they black or silver ?

Quits. Leave it with me till tomorrow eve when I will get a pic up. Got them second hand myself with little use and have light use on a turbo since then. Macadam - Probably wont be selling them if this falls through (Ps no sign of that guy earlier today).

As you can see these are ship shape. To be honest I am very tempted right now to take these myself. Certainly if a suitable swap doesn't come up, I reckon I will buy them myself so these are now only for swap, not for sale for the time being.

B Morrissey, I will take a look at that photo. Hopefully the Elites are not too old. They got better as they went along, the earlier models would be comparable to current aksiums, whereas the newer 2009 onwards models were a hell of a lot lighter.
