Mortgage Interest Relief how refunded?

Applied for mortgage interest relief at end of 2011....lady on phone in office said it should be sorted by February.... our mortgage deductions are still the same each month from account...is relief given by the bank or should I be expecting money back from the revenue?....and if so is it a lump sum for the year or does it…

Mortgage interest relief is provided at source by your lender either in the form of a reduced monthly mortgage payment or a credit to your funding account.
