So I bought a Williams Whirlwind pinball that has been sat up for 10 years.
I've made a few small repairs to the electrics, changed the batteries, etc and all is sound.
I've bought a service kit which includes all new bulbs, rubbers rings, flipper rubbers, post sleeves, etc.
I've the play field completely stripped down to try clean 10 Years worth of warehouse dust from it.
The play field is 110% perfect, just very dirty.
The Mylar has a few bubbles and is a tiny bit peeling between the flippers and
I'm looking for advise on removing the Mylar vs keeping it.
Will removing it devalue the machine, what are the chances of paint peeling off, what's the best way to remove(hair dryer).

I'm not sure if there is many pinball guys here but maybe someone can steer me in the right direction

Oh and pics will follow shortly;)

Glad the whirlwind is coming along, i would ask the guys over at klov for advice. I restored a Police Force recently and it had the bubbly Mylar thing going on but i decided to leave it.
I have seen some machines with the Mylar removed and it can take bits of inserts etc with it.
If you think you can get it off clean you can get Mylar kits.
    Good Luck with it.
