Gmail - Batch delete contacts?

Is it possible to batch delete contacts? I can do it one by one alright but not seeing any options when I have multiples selected. Doing a bit of a clearout and seems every email address I sent to was saved as some form of contact, which is now turning into a pain in the ass to remove if it cant be done in batchs/ multiples select.

Anyone out there save me from potentially 20 minutes of utter nonsense

Are you using chrome? You should see check boxes beside each contact that you can 'tick' to select multiple.

If you don't see option/check boxes in chrome go down to your task bar select properties and then click ok (to close it), that actually works! It's a known issue in chrome.

EDIT:

Scrath all that, it seems when you check all the boxes in chrome the button that says 'MORE' doesnt work in Chrome

Opened in IE and when I click more I have the option to delete multiple checked contatcs.

Thanks for suggesting chrome could be at fault

Just tried on mine and under 'more' I can select Delete. Is that greyed out for you?

Its not greyed out. I can tick the multiple check boxes but when I click on MORE nothing happens.

When I click on MORE in IE I get the various options including delete contacts
