Old Compaq Presario - Virtual Memory issue

    Hi guys,

I've got an old Compaq Presario that I want to get up and running again as it has all of my SNES/Megadrive emulators/rars on it.

The only problem is every time I turn it on before being able to make any commands I get a message - Virtual Memory Too Low.

I got it running once and upped the virtual mamory to the max allowed and deleted a ton of music off it, but it still crashes before you can do anything.

It's old, with 540mb RAM and 20gb hd. I only want it to be able to run the emulators and nothing else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
