Ikea in Balymun are selling off loads and loads of different types of indoor plants at the moment.

3-4 feet tall Kentia Palm plants for 11 euro.

3-4 foot tall Ivys,Yukka trees and Figg plants for 15 euro too.

1 foot round diameter and 2 feet tall Baux ball hedges (various shapes) for 7 euro too.

Not too bad a price me thinks.

Might be worth a trip up there, for anyone whos thinking of buying some indoor plants.smile.gif

Got my plants home, did the finger test on them to check the soil condition..

A quick spalsh of water in the pots and then a good misting of tepid water over the leaves and they are fine.
Will be repotting them into larger black square pots very soon.

Are they still on sale? When we were there on Sunday they were saying that it was the last day of the sale? Got a palm, orchid and some box plants. Very good value. Did you get your plant pots in Ikea? Very nice!

    Thanks.

8 black square plant pots were bought from Homebase a few weeks back in a 30% off sale,as where the large tomato bag trays.

I use these large trays along with capillary matting to hold some water in the bottom so that the plants can suck up the water when they need it.

A good spray of tepid water over the leaves every 2 days or so,and they are happy.

I got the sale price on the plants in Ikea on Tuesday and got extra points of the Ikea card too.:)
