JSB Monthly sign on - Payment method?

Local office has put me on a monthly sign on for the remainder of my JSB while my application for disability allowance goes through.

I signed on today and was told there was payment for me on 28th March and also today...... Both of which I've not received in the post like I normally did while on the normal (yellow slips of JSB).

Now I just thought that would my payments have been made to my post office for me to collect?? I was not told about this a month ago when I was switched to the monthly sign on.

As a result it will have been 4 weeks this week without payment.

Any clue as to what I should do?

Your one in the office said she'll look and see what story is for me, but she's not the most competent at that job up there.

Does anyone know if I should be receiving my cheques via normal post for this monthly JSB sign on or through post office?

    Cheers.

If you are now completely unemployed then your payments should be in the post office. The person in the sw office should be able to tell you whether you are being paid by cheque (highly unlikely if completely unemployed) or at the post office. She should have been able to tell you there and then what your payment method is.

Ok, well I'll have to go in tomorrow and see what the story is.

I'm concerned now though that if my payment was issued on the 28th to the post office and I havn't collected it then I'll not be able to receive it?

How does that work? Will I be able to get the payment that was issued to me on the 28th March if that's the case?

It will kick back as an expired payment from the post office...this takes about 3 weeks... and the payment will then be released to you.
