Irish Untaxed Income (form 11E)

I'm filling Form 11E at the moment and question 402 asks about Irish Untaxed Income. It lists four categories: (a) Irish government stocks (b) Irish exchequer bills (c) Credit union dividends (d) Other.

I'm wondering do Post Office certs and bonds come under (a) or (b)?

Also if DIRT was deducted on credit union dividends I presume I don't need to enter a figure at (c).

DIRT is deducted at source but technically you are still liable to account for it

    Post office bonds are a

why are you filling out a form 11 E? Share income?

why are you filling out a form 11 E? Share income?

I'm a retired PAYE worker but I also own 12 acres of land which gives me no income. However, Revenue always insist on me filling the form even though it has always been an obvious waste of time.

I invested my retirement lump sum in Post Office bonds and certs. I never possessed this sort of asset during my working life so it's only now that it becomes an issue for my returns.

You did not finish your second sentence about Post Office bonds and I would be interested in what you have to say.

Do the bonds and certs come within the scope of the form question in my first post?

    Post office bonds are (a)

It is not an incomplete sentence

Aha! I see now how it is supposed to be read. Thank you.
