OK this is doin me head in. I'm pretty new to this so prob something simples...

have been using microkorg and midi-controller without a bother since getting Cubase 6.

was installing some Korg padKontroller software earlier on and since then I can't get MIDI from either of the midi-controllers. have rebooted a few times and checked VST connections etc.

as I say, prob something simple so apologies in advance...

I'm using Windows 7. any ideas? thanks

try system restore first and see if you get MIDI then.

If you do, make sure you have the latest drivers for your new device and try the installation again.

    Then check MIDI under devices.

If still stuck after the above, feel free to give me a ring and we can try and figure it out together when both of us have Cubase6 infront of us.

I don't have a padKontroller but I do have a Korg nanoPad and a nano Kontrol and in both cases the same thing happened to me when I installed their respective drivers. Even the Korg editor software couldn't detect them, no matter what version of the drivers I tried.

In the end I just let Windows detect and install them and now they work fine. Uninstall the drivers completely and let Windows do it. Korg's drivers aren't up to scratch (in my experience).
