I've tried the sticky links and free programmes from other sites, but can't seem to just copy/back up dvd's. Can anyone recommend an idiot proof method/software.

Is "1-click" too good to be true? it ain't cheap.

I'm using vista and a samsung external dvd writer which came with nero software.

    Thanks in advance yet again.

Just back up to your HDD?

    DVDFAB or MakeMKV

both pretty much 1 click, you have to chose where you want to save it and what you want to keep, subtitles, menus and all that or just main movie.

Here's a picture guide with DVDFAB

most important part with DVDFAB is making sure you set it to DVD9 (not DVD5) or it'll shrink it to a single layer DVD for you-->meaning you'll lose quality.

If using all of that guide skip the FixVTS and Voblanker parts, you don't need to do that.
