For the price they're great value. I've a 16GB model and it's cool. Browser supports flash. Appworl might be a bit lacking for some but still plenty in there. Supports more video formats than apple does. Very smooth OS. The price is really great at present and I can recommend it.

Got one as a gift, not sure I would pay the going rate for one personally. If they came down to 150-200 i'd say its good value.

I use it for quick browsing mostly. Handy for that, especially with flash support. The browser crashes at least once a day for me, though its an instant crash, straight out to the menu and you can restart the browser immediately. Still annoying though.

thanks for the reply's!! i was looking at ones similar price in argos and online but only 4gb and 8gb internal memory, this seems like a very good deal.
Being honest its for my almost 3 year old, he has special needs, we were advised to get him an iPad but there out off my price range so were trying to collect 180 phones to get him one through autism ireland.even if we were to buy the ipad the apps that you get with the other one would cost another few hundred. he loves playing games on my htc sen xl but it smashed - by me not him!! and im worried he will get glass stuck in his fingers while we wait for a replacement.

hi...i bought a few platforms for my son....i pod, tablet from dunnes(waste of money) and he uses my old android phone with tap to talk. I asked hes school which programme is best. They said that the pecs book is best suited. electronic replacements are for later on. i dont want him too reliant on hi tech stuff yet. the pecs is more interactive. just an observation.

we use the pecs here all the time, he also recently trialed a lamp devise, a computer with pictures, would cost 10,000 ST + depending on the program and we did not find it great. he loves my android phone but refuses to use my older android loves the bigger screen on my new one. i have made my own flashcards for him that i could put on a tablet. his SN preschool are all for electronic devises and they don't replace other methods, his speech has come on from using my phone. its really just a way off calming him down when he is getting painful treatments done.

The HTC Flyer’s magic pen transforms anything. It can draw, paint, write, and even retouch pictures.

Pretty useful stuff for 3 year old:)

The Playbook is not what you want http://p-quinn.com/entries/report/report-blackberry-playbook-the-verdict- I wrote that article after a year with the thing, you will be so much better off shelling out extra 80 bucks and getting the Sony tablet s or maybe going whole hog and get and iPad 2 which are heavily reduced at the moment but if money is a serious issue may I suggest the kindle fire?

i do like the sony tablet, have tried it instore.
i could buy the ipad 2 for him but the apps we need are expensive on apple some off them are 50euro +, if we could collect enough phones he would get the ipad and the apps.
