Radio controlled clocks in house not synchronising

    Hi,

    Strange question but here goes..

I have a radio controlled Acctim clock in my bedroom. It synchronises a few times a day. However, since Sunday, it hasn't. I tried another clock and it's also not synchronising at present.

Is the weather causing problems for the signal? I live in Letterkenny but never had such a problem before with the clocks.

Actually, just found the answer to my question...

    http://www.npl.co.uk/science-technology/time-frequency/time/products-and-services/msf-outages
Notice of Interruption to MSF 60 kHz Time and Frequency Signal

Please note that the MSF 60 kHz time and frequency signal broadcast from Anthorn Radio Station will be shut down over the period:

08:00 UTC on Monday 26 March
    until
20:00 UTC on Friday 6 April

The interruption to the transmission is required to allow maintenance work to be carried out in safety.

The service is expected to be off-air continuously until the evening of Tuesday 3 April, then to be off-air during the daytime only on Wednesday 4 April to Friday 6 April, and normal operation restored from the Friday evening.

Blimey, this explains why my Casio watch has not been picking up the time signal this past couple of weeks!
