As with all pre pay cards there are charges with them, with 3V you cant get any lower top up than 30 euro, and there is an additional 2,50 charge on top of that for topping it up.
The advantages of having a 3v card is getting a physical paper voucher and the ccv number and expiry date texted or emailed to your phone, as opposed to swirl, payzone etc where you have a credit type card and also a second 'loading' card to top it up, and the registration process can be a little tricky sometimes. All in all 3V is simple to use, and Ive been using them since they came out.
The 3V card itself is also free, but you cant go into a shop and use it like you can with swirl/02/payone cards.
Tried the other cards and didnt like them.
I think 3V is probably the best for using for online purchases, whereas all the other cards can be taken to uk and used in shops etc too.

3V is possibly the worst of all pre-pay cards. Near impossible to find somewhere to buy them, you can't top one up, the expiry is very short, they cannot be used where a physical card is required (hotel bookings, car rentals, etc), and then there's the charges (which all pre-pay cards have) after all that.

O2 Money card, Moneybookers, etc, there are loads of alternatives, which are much better.

You used to be able to top up by 20 at no charge. But when I went to do this at two shops, it wasn't working. Last week I was told that the minimum I could put on it was 30 and it would cost me 2.50 to do so. What a rip off. Unfortunately I needed to buy something online that wouldn't accept paypal so had to get it. But I won't be using it again after this.
