Applying for AIB Account - No Photo ID

    I was in AIB today and was looking to open an account.

    I was told I needed a photo ID, however, I do not have one.

    Would an ML10 form work instead?

    Thanks to anyone that can help.

    tdid they not give you a list of acceptable IDs?

    If you're going down the road of an ML10 you will need to convince the Garda as to your identity. A lot of people tend to bring their Birth Cert and parents, with identification, who can vouch as to your identity.

    Options are fairly limited here.

    You need to convince them as to who you are. Have you no ID at all? Do you know nobody who is know to the bank staff?
