    Hi All

Found and engagement and wedding ring on the prom in puerto del carmen.

There is a name and date inside the wedding ring. I would really like to find the owner.

Any advice on what to do.

Should I hand them in to the local police department

Not sure this is even possible, but could you google the name and the date on the ring and see if you get any newspaper announcements?

We would like to try and help reconcile the ring with the owner. We have a large website and social media presence in Lanzarote and would like to publish an article to try and locate the owner who must be devastated to lose the ring.

Are you still over there? A4 sheet of paper and stick it on some lamp posts near the prom with contact info. If they went there once they may go back.

Get a list of hotels in the area and send them the details. You can bet the the couple that lost the ring left details with the reception of where they were staying. Assuming they're not locals.

dont forget if anyone replies tell them youll need to see photo id with drivers licence/passport and contact info.

my brother was in malta a couple of years ago and lost his wallet sightseeing, wasnt recovered by the time he left the country. all contact info was in there, an algerian guy found it in a bush, contacted the folks number which was in it, he mailed the wallet home to the bro, but not even that, he took the cash out that was in the wallet which was near 300e, as he didnt want to mail cash, and wired the cash through bank transfer. how good was that!!!

The date is hardly Sept 2003 is it?

My friend's husband lost his ring in the sand on honeymoon.

Don't want to post names as the marraige has since broken up:eek:

    Maybe it was an omen....
