    Hi,

I did something silly. I upgraded from an iPhone 3G to an iPhone 4s.

I synced and backed up all the data from the 3G to iTunes etc. Then I connected the 4s - only I didn't restore all the info from the old phone.

For some reason I selected 'set up as new phone' - in doing that I lost all my texts, lots of contacts, photos etc. - and I'm sure lots of my calendar alerts are also missing.

I don't know what I was thinking! Anyway, is there a way to get all the old data back???

    Thanks.

Yep. Just right click on your iPhone in iTunes and select a different backup.

3g to a 4s thats a nice little upgrade, 4s must feel like its on steroids compared to your old 3g :D If you still have issues just restore the new phone and select the backup you want(not the most recent) the latest maybe from the 4s and will have no data so go back to one you know is form the 3g

Cheers for the replies. Yeah I managed to restore it from an older back up. No major damage done. Just lost a few recent calls lists and txts. Nothing too important!

Yeah the 4s is a lot quicker than the 3G!!
