Changing pickups..

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place where I can get the pickups on my guitar changed? I've been looking around and can't seem to find many places that do it

dont go there !

ive used him and he was a usless rip off .


i go to John Moriarty , but the guitar repair shop on exchequer street is good as well.

I found The Guitar Workshop to be a little bit pricey but by no means useless!

I'm going to try archtop.ie in a couple of weeks.

A good friend of mine usually does all that stuff for me, user name Zafo. He's worked on a few of my guitars, does a great job at a reasonable price!

yes

1/ charged 100 euro for a strat setup, where i specially asked to treat a choking issue on 9th fret b srting bend ( raised fret i reckon ) .

setup was acceptable but the issue was not solved as i later found out

2/ was a day late on giving guitar back

planed the fretboard , put a bone nut in as i asked, refretted the guitar with
great low frets , and set it up

plays like a dream now.

Is he the guy out there who operates out the back of his garage?
I had guitar work done on two guitars by a guy who operated on south circular road and didn't fix any of the issues he charged me for and took 2 months to get my guitars back of him when it was only ment to take a few days.

yeah wasn't impressed by him tbh.

If im getting anything done on my guitars I either do it myself, or if I dont have the parts i just leave it with kevin from guitar fix, who does a good job on the guitars i leave him.

get dave in jimis music store to do it for you. he's a wiring genius. he's done loads of great wiring jobs for me so far. custom shop standard literally!!

seriously, swapping pups is SOOOOOOO easy!!!

if you can wire a plug you can swap pups.

buy 'em used off ebay, try 'em, and if they aren't for you then sell them on.
