    is there anywhere you can download the trial of windows 7? i've seen some enterprise thing but not sure about it. thanks!

    You can download the Windows 7 Enterprise 90-days trial from Microsoft, does require a Hotmail/MSN/Live account though.

    Or Windows 2008 Server trial (which can easily be tweaked to function as a desktop OS), they'll give you 180 days with this one.
