    Was in the bookies today to grab the slip for the US Masters and ended up watching the 2.30 at Kelso. There was a young lad sitting in the corner quietly until they popped the last and his horse came in at 40/1sp Suprise Vendor when he flipped out in excitement, jumping and screaming for it to win! I thought he a few euro on the winner but in the first race at Redcar he had also backed Lothian Countess 66/1sp and that won too!!! He had a €1 e/w single on both and a 50c e/w double!
    Just over €1,500 he won for a €5 bet! Jammy git :D

    Anyone else ever get a small stake bet and win a nice sum of money

    Haha good on the kid.

    I got £1800 from a 30p L15 + 25p E/W Acc. £5 stake total. That was about 5 years ago, nothing that big since!

    I did a €1 4 horse accumulator that returned €1,200 odd.

    Had Sea The Stars at 14/1 for the Arc and was lucky the ground was quick enough for him to run and collected €1,750

    Funny this thread started just now for me! Have no real form interest in the flat but I backed monterosso in the world cup...got all my hurricane fly and sizing europe losses back from chelt!
    Spirit of adjisa in the novice hurdle in punches town last year 16/1 and copper bleu at chelt 2 years ago 25-1 the morning of the race. Also had 2 close encounters with dancing tornado when he came shd second at 33-1

    done a 2 euro e/w lucky 15 few years back in last 4 races at stradford..... didnt look at any form as 1st race was bout to go off first 1 banged in at 12/1 second 1 banged in at 6/1 third 1 banged in cant rem price and while sweating on the last humped a few stiff vodkas down the hatch bang....... caught on the line. Took 4500 euros off bookies short head cost me 32000 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
