    Hello,

I noticed this problem couple of days ago. When I connect my laptop to tv using hdmi cable the picture on the laptop/tv turns upside down.

When I unplug hdmi cable picture on laptop reverts to normal.
I use firefox but also tried chrome and ie same result.
Any ideas on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

CTRL + ALT + Arrows to alter the display orientation?

Go to control panel>Apperance and personal> on one of the quick links under display there should be one called Connect to external display.

Click that and there should be an orientation option that allows you to switch from Landscape(flipped) back to Landscape

If it's an INTEL GMA graphics adapter and you don't need this "feature", grab Autoruns and disable hkcmd.exe. No more accidental flipping the display. ;)

Or Control Panel --> Intel(R) GMA Driver for Mobile --> Options and Support --> Hot Key Manager --> uncheck 'Hot Key Functionality'. That setting should also be accessible from the tray icon too.

True, but the hkcmd program will still be loaded at startup though and using resources for no good reason. ;)
